Week Two

We had another great week on campus!

We conducted learning style surveys this week to determine what type of learners we are.  Some students found out they are auditory learners, some found out they were visual learners, and others found out they learn best when  moving around and being active making them kinesthetic learners.

Tuesday was also free Chipotle day on campus!  Who doesn't love Chipotle??

On Wednesday the students spent some more time with Becca from Keystone Human Services and getting ready for our upcoming Career Exploration field trips.

Thursday we spent the day learning about Retail, Retailers, and Retailing.  We also heard about the Channel of Distribution for the first time, which will be a recurring term throughout the year.

Donhelen had a very busy weekend, but despite being very tired she worked hard and did a great job this week!

The kids participated in a "snowball fight" activity.  They wrote down answers to a few questions on a piece of paper.  Without writing their names on the paper, we crumpled them up and threw them around the room.  We then opened them back up and tried to figured out who the person was by the answers to the questions.  This was one of the most popular activities this week.
 Lunch with the mentors.

OVER THE WEEKEND:
If you are taking a course for credit or auditing a course you should review your class notes and prepare for any upcoming tests or quizzes.

If you are participating in an Independent Study project please spend some time researching your topic at home.

NEXT WEEK:
Please me sure to enjoy your long weekend and get lots of sleep!  We seemed to have a lot of students that were very tired throughout class this week.  If you enjoy coffee or tea, grab a cup before coming to class next week!!

In class we will:
Distinguish between the various retail formats
Recognize the different types of ownership
Understand multi channel retailing

MAY THE DREAMS OF YOUR PAST,
BECOME THE REALITY OF YOUR FUTURE!
